LATAM Academic ConferenceEdusoft’s Director of Pedagogical Implementation, Dr. Danny Glick, PhD Learning Technologies, was recently invited to speak at two international conferences in Latin America.

Dr. Glick was invited to give a keynote speech at the international DR-TESOL conference in the Dominican Republic. He was also invited to give a plenary speech in Honduras at the IX International Conference for Teachers of English: Teaching English to Empower a New Generation. Some 1,500 EFL teachers and policy makers from around the world attended these conferences, in order to hear about the latest pedagogical trends from experts in the field, such as Dr. Glick.

His presentation “Implementation of Large-Scale Technology-Enhanced EFL Programs at the National Level: 11 Key Factors for Success” focused on those implementation factors which Edusoft has found to be the most crucial in the success of its various national ELL projects. One such large-scale national project discussed in Dr. Glick’s presentation is Edusoft’s Ministry of Education (MINEDU) Project in Peru. This national presidential initiative aims to improve the English language proficiency of 385,000 students in 1,000 schools across the country, regardless of Internet connectivity. The implementation of the MINEDU project involved intensive planning and follow-up, as well as carefully thought-out resource allocation. This ensures that decision makers have the tools necessary to make technological, implementation, and HR adjustments whenever necessary.

“Such guest speaker invitations are indicative of the high level of expertise Edusoft staff have in the field of English language learning and technology in education. This expertise enables Edusoft’s pedagogical training to equip educators with the skills needed for maximum project success.”
